Min Qualification Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized board. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) introduced for admission into all UG Programmes, 60% in qualifying exam JLUET followed by personal interview.

Course Objective

B.A. Public Policy (Hons) is an interdisciplinary programme with a healthy blend of orientation to theory and practice. The programme which seeks to develop general and specialized knowledge along with skills among the graduates to engage in the domains of public policy, governance and its related fields. To bring an interdisciplinary perspective, students are also exposed to select courses from various domains across the university. The Programme involves, apart from classroom learning, internships, projects, assignments, guest lectures by public policy experts and practitioners as well as field trips.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the three-year education, learners will be able to

comprehend themes from contemporary fields in Public Policy and Administration like good governance, e-governance, citizens’ charter, social audit etc.
develop skills of observation, objective interpretation of data, and reporting of the same
critically analyze local and global situations, express opinions, and be ready to engage with society.
discern the importance of research and apply the fundamental concepts.
