

Summer School on Quantitative Techniques in Collaboration with CSDS-Lokniti
The ten-day Summer School on Quantitative Techniques in Social Sciences being organized jointly by CSDS-Lokniti and Jagran Lakecity University and hosted at JLU has participants drawn from 10 states of India and Bangladesh. The participants are researchers in prestigious institutions like University of Hyderabad, IIT Delhi, IIT Gandhinagar, Jamia Millia, JNU, Ambedkar University, Delhi University, NLSIU Bangalore, ISEC Bangalore, MS University Vadodara, Savitribai Phule University at Pune, Jadavpur University and University of Kalyani in West Bengal.
The Resource Persons are from India and abroad and include Dr Pradeep Chhibber, Indo-American Chair Professor at the University of California, Berkeley; Dr Siddarth Swaminathan, Professor, Azim Premji University; Prof Sanjay Kumar, Co-Director, Lokniti, CSDS; Prof Suhas Palshikar Co-Director CSDS and Editor Studies in Indian Politics (SIP); Dr Rajeshwari Deshpande Professor, Savitribai Phule University, Pune and Dr Sandeep Shastri, Vice Chancellor, JLU, Bhopal.
The Summer School will train participants in Quantitative Techniques with the use of a NES Data Set. Participants will, as part of their training, work on a question selected from the Data set and present a preliminary analysis at the end of the Workshop. This will be developed into a research paper for publication.
