The School functions under the guidance of an Advisory Board — which includes industry leaders and executives from the Hotel, Food Service and Tourism industries who work regularly with the faculty, staff, and students of the School to formulate and update a curriculum that is current, flexible and related to the needs of the hospitality and tourism industries.

Culinary Mentors - culinary mentoring (CM) is designed for our new program B. Sc - culinary Arts under the School of Hospitality & Tourism (SoHT) from session 2019 - 20 CM will be the unique feature of the program CM is threefold developed to impart latest industry trend to the budding chefs: First Fold: Every month a culinary expert from industry/ academics will visit JLU Bhopal for 2 - 4 days and conduct sessions for the enrolled students. Second Fold : Each student will be assigned an Expert chef as Mentor with whom the student can connect throughout the program as per mutual understanding; Mentor may cal the mentee to their properties for exposure (as and when required). Third Fold: At the end of the program Mentor may issue a letter of recommendation based on Mentee performance.
Entrepreneurship incubation center (many aluminas are successfully running their hospitality & tourism businesses)
Extensive industry exposure through Vocational Training (optional 6 weeks training after completion of First Year); Industrial Training (Compulsory 22 weeks training in the Second year); Visits (Hotel, Hospitality & Tourism Fairs, Vineyards, National & International Competitions, Seminar, Conferences & Symposium)
International tie-ups with leading hotels. Till date, 12 students have been trained in France under Michelin Star properties
Running Commercial Restaurant & Cafeteria on Campus for real-life experience.
Special Guest Lectures and Presentations by eminent personalities, entrepreneurs and hospitality professionals are organized by the Institute regularly.
