The university has a rich tradition of excelling in sports. The university operates a “JLU Elite Athlete Program” which supports student-athletes balance their academic and sporting commitments, by providing a flexible and responsive approach to study.

Jagran Lakecity University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and participates in all zonal-level tournaments. The following teams have participated in AIU and other inter-university tournaments:
