Report of ANVESHAN –Central Zone Student Research Convention
Hosted by- Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal

The Association of Indian Universities in collaboration with Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal hosted a two-days Central Zone Student Research Convention on February 6th & 7th , 2020 in which more than 180 students participated from 29 universities across central zone. A total of 89 innovative projects were showcased by students and their mentors who got recorded as highest articipation in the history of Anveshan organized till date. Projects showcased in the event were indeed exemplary and expected to have significant impact on society.

On 6th February 2020, the inauguration ceremony commenced. The ceremonial dais was honored by the eminent presence of Dr. V. K. Dadhwal (Director, IIST/ Chairman, Board of Management, Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology), as chief guest, Dr. Amrendra Pani (Joint Director & Head Research Division, Association of Indian Universities as a guest of honor, Eminent panel of jury & resource persons, Honorable vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anoop Swarup, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Khare, Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Joshi Director – Research & IQAC Jagran Lakecity University also the Central zone Anveshan 2020 Coordinator, Deans, Directors and faculties of various schools of the university also graced the occasion. Prof. Dr. Vinay Joshi Director Research & IQAC was also the Convener of Anveshan 2020.

Prof. Dr Anoop Swarup Honorable Vice- Chancellor Jagran Lakecity University Bhopal, acknowledged the presence of Dr. V. K Dadhwal chief guest, Dr. Amrendra Pani guest of honor. Dr. Amrendra Pani (Joint Director & Head Research Division, Association of Indian Universities as a guest of honor, in his interaction, he shared his thoughts and future in research. Furthermore, he shared that the Research division of AIU as part of capacity building activities regularly organizes various seminars and conferences for strengthening Indian higher education.

Dr. V. K. Dadhwal as a chief guest shared his views upon space science & technology. Dr. Dadhwal expressed that he was feeling very energetic and young after seeing all the students. He further cited from his experiences with IIST wherein he explained that, “Two decade back India conducted space research. Also, he shared the recent inventions in the space & satellites.

In the second phase, Exhibition was inaugurated by Chancellor Shri. Hari Mohan Gupta, Pro- Chancellor Shri. Abhsihek Mohan Gupta, Vice – Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Anoop Swarup, Registrar Prof. Dr. Vivek Khare, Deans & Directors. In the Exhibition round participants’ across the central universities exhibit their projects, where afterwards in they will be presented their project. Keeping in mind the excellence and usefulness of the various research projects presented in the convention during the two-days, jury members scrutinized and declared first, second and third prizes in different subject areas.

On 7th February 2020 ,during the valediction ceremony, its matter of utmost pleasure for the university to have Dr. (Mrs.) Pankaj Mittal Secretary General, Association of Indian University (AIU), Delhi. Prof.(Dr.) V. Vijayakumar Vice Chancellor National Law Institute University, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, RGPV, Eminent panel of jury & resource persons, Honorable vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Anoop Swarup, Registrar Prof. Dr. Vivek Khare, Deans, Directors and faculties of various schools also graced the occasion.

Dr. (Mrs.) Pankaj Mittal Secretary General, Association of Indian University (AIU), Delhi, gave her valuable insights on research, she asked students to be curious and inquisitive regarding, whatever they learnt every day. She admired the participants for their enthusiasm towards innovation in his ceremonial address. Dr. Mittal expressed thanks to the participating members in the event and blessed them for bright future. She appreciated the entire event planning. Also, congratulated Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Joshi Director – Research & IQAC also the Convener of Anveshan 2020 for his hard work, dedication & team building for the entire programme. She also praises Jagran Lakecity University for launching a souvenir where all the amazing projects are compiled.

The concluding address was delivered by Prof.(Dr). Vivek Khare, Registrar & Dean Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal. He lauded the efforts of Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Joshi & his team to providing ample opportunities for all the participants to explore.
