Dr. Mohammad Shoaib Khan of JLU-School of Hospitality and Tourism delivered a Special Address in National Tourism Webinar as invited guest speaker.
The theme of the webinar was “Tourism For You: Confidence Building, Post-Pandemic Opportunities in North-East India and It’s Revival” organized by Byatikram MASDO, Assam, India on 10th July, 2021.
He addressed the participants and attendees on “Revival of Tourism Industry by looking through the opportunities in Post Pandemic Situations.”
In his talk, he discussed how travel agents and tour operators could be more progressive using the latest technology and innovations in boosting their business while sitting at the comfort zones of their homes. He also pointed out the various explored and untapped tourism resource potentials existing in the North Eastern Region of India, like Rural Tourism, Tea Tourism, and Localization of Tourism businesses. He posed the example of Eco tourism potential through a project on E-Bicycle in the era of Eco-Tourism in North East India that he is guiding and investigating.
Dr. Mohammad Shoaib Khan of JLU-School of Hospitality and Tourism is a Doctorate in Tourism Marketing, has qualified UGC-NET, UGC-MANF-JRF in Tourism Administration and Management with a keen interest in Tourism Marketing and Management and Research Methodology.
He is International Career Coach certified by Career Development Alliance (USA), National Career Development Association (USA) and Mindler (India) and also Evaluator in Toycathon by inter-ministerial initiative organized by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from AICTE, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He has participated in More than 60 National and International Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and FDP and Webinars.
He has been guiding and mentoring a wide range of subjects to Ph.D., Postgraduate and under graduate students. His expertise also includes sustainable destination development and responsible tourism. In addition, he has a good hand in SPSS, AMOS and Smart-PLS (Social Sciences Research based Statistical Software for data analysis.)
