Dr. Ankit Singh of JLU Faculty of Law, delivered a Keynote Address

Dr. Ankit Singh of the Jagran Lakecity University’s Faculty of LAW, delivered the Keynote Address in the One-week Virtual National-level Faculty Development Program.

The theme was ‘Intellectual Property Rights: Curriculum Development and Pedagogy for Teaching Changing Dimensions of IPR in the era of Globalization’ organized by the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur and DPIIT-IPR Chair.

He addressed the participants on “Ambit of the Rights of various Stakeholders under the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001”

In his session, he discussed the purpose and scheme of the PPVFR Act. Rights of plant breeders, researchers, communities and farmers and the ways in which these rights can be safeguarded and balanced against each other was the core focus of his session.

Dr. Ankit Singh is a young UGC-NET (JRF) qualified academician with an extensive teaching and research experience of six years wherein he has taught a wide range of subjects to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has a master’s degree in intellectual property and business laws from National Law Institute University, Bhopal and a Ph.D. in the domain of patent law from Jagran Lakecity University.

He has more than twenty research publications to his credit on varying domains of law in the form of books, chapters, articles and research papers. Dr. Singh has presented his research papers in various national and international conferences. His research areas primarily include intellectual property law, business law, international law and environmental law.
