Anveshan: Student Research Convention:
With the end goal of instilling a research culture in our higher education institutions of our country, the Research Division, Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Jagran Lakecity University have taken a spearheading role to organize a Research Convention for aspiring researchers in our country. This convention targets the recognition of youthful rising researchers, who can be advanced through legitimate encouragement and impetus. In addition an endeavor of propose is bring to their investigation and research exploration ventures with modern coordinated efforts. The Research Convention is aimed at giving a creative edge to the understudies for producing and catalyzing the potential energy amongst the youth to raise the research efforts & standards in the country.
SPSS Workshop:
Three days workshop was conducted from 18th to 20th April 2019 on “Data Analysis in SPSS”; a window based program for statistical analysis used by various researchers in the fields of market, surveys, health, government, education, and data miners etc., to collect and analyze social science data. The objective of the workshop is to train faculties/researchers in analyzing data with the help of this software from basic to advanced level as well as assist in identifying the appropriate statistical tools and techniques in SPSS. Dr. Abhishek Sachan is the guest lecturer for this workshop.
Cognizance:
Jagran Lakecity University welcomed the Ph.D/M.Phil batch of academic year January 2018-19, at the inaugural session and guest lecture: The Cognizance - A Research Arena. It was a matter of utmost pleasure to have Prof. (Dr.) Frank Best, Head of the Department of Management, HTWG Konstanz, University of Applied Sciences, Honorable VC Prof. (Dr.) Anoop Swarup, Deans, Directors, and Faculties of various Schools also graced the occasion. Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Joshi interacted with the research scholars and shared information about the course work classes as well as, he introduced all the faculty members and the administrative staff of the JLU research cell. In his welcome address, he also shared some of the milestones, which the university and JLU Research Cell as a whole achieved.
The Honorable Vice Chancellor, JLU interacted with the Research Scholars and congratulated the JLU Research Cell for maintaining the high standards of research in his speech. In Prof. (Dr.) Frank Best’s interaction with the research scholars gave his insight on the various facets of research methodologies. He paid emphasis on the significance of research in the present time. He shared his views on the importance of good quality research and urged the students to emphasize on the quality of research rather than the cut-copy-paste of research. He also shared that in this era of knowledge good quality research will automatically open the new avenues for a research student.
