21 students of Jagran Lakecity Business School, Completed the ‘Learn Six Sigma and Process Improvement Course’

Businesses every day are experiencing a major transformation. And in an attempt to improve performance and survive, today’s students and future employees are expected to strike a balance between business and the market.

To help get add-on credentials and enhance their skills to combat the world of unprecedented complexities and opportunities, Jagran Lakecity Business School offers Lean Six Sigma and Process Improvement course to interested students. The sessions were delivered by the trainer(s) from Ernst & Young.

Six Sigma is a measurement-based process improvement strategy. It’s a system aimed at streamlining processes and boosting customer satisfaction (internal & external). This method is based on the idea of reducing process variance. This reduction leads to consistent and desired outcomes from processes. Hence, the goal of this strategy is continuous process improvement with low defects.

EY’s 32 + 8 hour Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training made students well versed with the elementary aspects of the Lean Six Sigma Method, including competence in the subject matters contained within the phases of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control; and equip them with the knowledge of various statistical (like Minitab) and non-statistical tools. It communicated a clearer understanding of how to implement, perform, interpret and apply Lean Six Sigma in a skilled yet constrained and/or supportive context to our students.

With Six Sigma, our students are capable of bringing in value and the ability to significantly improve the processes and make a positive impact on the organizational goals.
