Deva Darshini Duraisamy wins Bronze Medal at World University Selection Trials in JUDO.

Everyone talks about the significance of physical and mental health, but at Jagran Lakecity University, we go above and beyond in providing the students with the environment they require to develop a physique and appreciate our students’ achievements in order to motivate them further. JLU Bhopal encourages its students to participate in a variety of inter-university sports tournaments to develop leadership skills and recognizes every student’s achievements.

We are proud to announce that Deva DarshiniDuraisamy from MA Public policy and International affairs won the Bronze medal at World University Selection Trails in JUDO. Deva Darshini has always been a sports prodigy, receiving a full sports scholarship to university. With our generous Sports Scholarships, we hope to recognize and encourage deserving athletes like her. Judo is a modern Japanese martial art, initially created in 1882 by Jigoro Kano as a physical, mental and moral pedagogy in Japan. A judo practitioner is called a “judoka”, and the uniform is called “judogi”.

The University has been home to some of the country’s most promising athletes. Sports and extracurricular activities are an important aspect of life at JLU, and the institution has one of the best sports facilities in central India for exceptional student-athletes to help them achieve their sporting goals. JLU is known for its renowned athletic infrastructure as well as its academic excellence. Basketball courts, a 6-lane Olympic-standard pool, football fields, volleyball courts, and multipurpose grounds are all available at JLU for various sports tournaments. For students who want to focus on their physical fitness, JLU has a well-equipped Gymnasium and recreation facility. JLU league, JLU intra-university open cricket tournament, Kai Po Che, JLU LAN Gaming competition, and Adventure Excursions are only a few of the sportsmanship activities held by JLU.
